Living authentically in an inauthentic society
Living authentically in an inauthentic society
We currently live in a society where perception and appearance can win over honesty and truth. Why is this the case? Humans should have an innate intuitive ability to know the truth.
The problem is today many people are not connected with their intuitive abilities to discern the world around them. The intuitive abilities that can spot inconsistencies right away is in most people, but they choose not to use it for discernment.
Many people rely on the opinions and feedback of others which can be quite dangerous. Unlike tapping into the divine truth with intuition people tap into the most socially acceptable stance.
The problem that arises by the volatile nature of the popular opinion and public acceptance. These opinions often are quite scattered and lack depth. They can be very hypocritical.
There will always be a time when the individuals idea or opinion does not align with what is socially accepted in the group around them. At this point the individual makes a critical choice.
This is the point where they can either tap into their authenticity which holds a power. This allows one to take a step farther in this reality with their true souls expression. The consequence of this is that you may be going against what is socially accepted. Potential rejection and ridicule can follow. One can also find that the people who hold socially accepted opinions as the highest authority will start to distance themselves from the individual who is authentically expressing themselves.
The other side of this is the individual can give into what is socially accepted. They can move in the opposite direction of what they feel. With this they will get the immediate social acceptance from others. They will enjoy small positive reinforcements of following the crowd. What this individual is sacrificing the power of their divine spirit. They will miss out on the strong intuition or creative ability that comes with true authenticity.
It is an individuals choice. They choose to act in an authentic manner at the risk of not being socially accepted by certain groups. On the other hand being authentic will really increase ones intuitive and creative ability. The more one is authentic to themselves the more they build a stronger connection with their higher spirit.
They also have the choice to bend over to the volatile opinion of what is socially accepted. They can ride that wave and walk the tight rope of pleasing others. This is at the risk of losing ones individual self. They will be connecting to a world of in authenticity and this will also be seen in their relationships.
The choice is yours. In my opinion there is a spiritual awakening and more people are moving into authenticity. This will bring more strength and happiness in the long run.
